St Albert on the North Colonnade in St Peter's Square

St. Albert - Carmelite
He was Patriarch of Jerusalem, and wrote the original Carmelite Rule of St Albert around 1210.

The saint is in the Carmelite habit and holds a lily.

Feastday - Sept 25

Statue Installed - This statue is part of a group of sixteen that were installed in December 1668

Sculptor - Lazzaro Morelli

Height - 3.1 m. (10ft 4in) travertine

Restored - 1794, Restored part of the head and the rear folds of the habit. Stucco on statue and base.
